Application of acoustic emission technology in the localization and diagnostics of abnormal noise sources in aircraft structural fatigue test
The occurrence of abnormal noises during aircraft structural testing indicates an abnormal state of the test specimen. Accurately locating the source of the noise and taking timely measures are crucial for the smooth progress of the test. A rapid localization and diagnostic scheme for abnormal noise sources in aircraft structural tests has been proposed, utilizing the positioning capabilities of acoustic emission technology, which incorporates various localization techniques of acoustic emission technology. The application in the fatigue test of a certain aircraft's vertical tail indicates that a limited number of channels can quickly and accurately pinpoint the source of the abnormal noise, providing a basis for decision-making for engineering technicians to further address the issue.
