Laboratory Simulation Platform Design and Calibration of Track Geometric Dynamic Irregularity
The inspection of track geometric irregularities serves as a fundamental basis for maintaining the operational integrity of railway infrastructure and ensuring the safe and stable operation of trains. Before being installed on vehicles, track geometric inspection equipment is obligated to undergo precise laboratory tests; unfortunately, an adequate dynamic testing platform is conspicuously absent at present. In this research, a six-degree-of-freedom platform is developed to simulate the motion of the vehicle in operation, and a dual-degree-of-freedom rail motion platform is developed to simulate the relative position of the track. The coordinated movement of the two platforms is regulated by a servo system to replicate the relative motion between the vehicle and the track. This innovative platform facilitates multi-angle evaluations of track geometric detection equipment. By comparing the irregularity values output by this platform with the measured values of the equipment, a precision experiment of track geometric detection equipment was carried out, which can fulfill the measurement accuracy requirements of gauge ±0.8mm, alignement ±1.5mm, and vertical profile ±1mm.
