A case series of proximal femur tumour excisions done through a medial approach
Proximal femur tumors present unique surgical challenges, particularly when a medial approach is required due to the tumor's location and involvement of adjacent neurovascular structures. This case series highlights six patients with proximal femur tumors, predominantly osteochondromas, excised surgically through the medial approach. Despite its complexity, the medial approach was the only feasible option to achieve tumor resection in these cases. We discuss the indications, surgical challenges, outcomes, and lessons learned from these cases, offering insights into managing similar complex scenarios.
