Finite element analysis in an unbounded fiber-reinforced medium containing spherical cavities caused by pulse heat flux
• Thermoelastic interaction in a fiber-reinforced anisotropic material is established. • The numerical solution is investigated by the finite element techniques. • Fiber-reinforced material properties act to reduce the magnitudes of all variables. This study investigates thermoelastic interactions in fiber-reinforced materials containing spherical cavity, analyzed within the framework of Green and Naghdi model (GNIII). Numerical solutions are derived using the finite element method, where a quadratic element discretization approach is employed. The cavity's boundary surface is thermally loaded by an exponentially declining pulse boundary heat flux and without traction. The outcomes presented graphically illustrate the impact of reinforcement and the pulse heat flux on the thermoelastic behaviors of the materials. Comparisons between the reinforced and unreinforced cases highlight the influence of fiber reinforcement on the distribution of thermal and mechanical fields. These findings contribute to the understanding and optimizing fiber-reinforced materials in thermoelastic applications.
