Distributed intelligent lighting system control based on an adaptive consistency algorithm

Lighting is a part of social infrastructure construction. In modern urban planning and infrastructure development, the lighting load is a significant portion of the electrical load. The demand for lighting load is increasing with the development of urbanization. While ensuring the required illumination, the lighting load can act as a demand response resource to alleviate the imbalance between electricity supply and demand by appropriately regulating the illumination and changing the operating power. Due to the vast number of lighting loads, centralized control for unified regulation is not feasible. Therefore, this paper proposes a distributed consistency algorithm for the dynamic regulation of large-scale lighting loads. By adaptively regulating the coefficients of the consistency algorithm, the system’s convergence rate is accelerated. It has been verified that the system using the optimized algorithm reduces the number of iterations by 33.8%, providing a solid technical guarantee for the implementation of intelligent lighting management in large-scale buildings.
