An Automatic Approach to Virtual Assembly of Spacecraft by Reference Point Coordinate Formulation with Euler Angles
The virtual assembly of spacecraft faces the problem of high cost and low effiency, which can be alleviated by automatic approaches. In this paper, based on a framework called Reference Point Coordinate Formulation with Euler Angles, we propose an automatic approach to accelerate the virtual assembly design process. Our approach changes positions of mechanical part in a unified way, which can be further used in a variety of domain including equipment layout, harness assembly and coordinate transformation of 3D models. Experiences in the assembly design of high-orbit satellite verify the feasibility of this approach and are applicable to the virtual assembly of other spacecrafts.
