Research on Spatiotemporal Distribution Characteristics of Network Attention to 5A-level Tourist Attractions in Guangxi

The advent of the big data era has brought about a profound transformation in the way tourism information is disseminated, greatly enhancing the influence of network attention in shaping the decision-making processes of tourists. The study systematically collected network attention data for 5A-level tourist attractions in Guangxi, utilizing the Baidu Index as the data sources, and analyzed the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics using both the seasonal concentration index and geographical concentration index. The findings indicate that, in terms of temporal distribution, the network attention to 5A-level tourist attractions in Guangxi exhibits a generally fluctuating upward trend, with notable monthly variations primarily influenced by factors such as climate comfort and leisure time. In terms of spatial distribution, the regions with higher levels of network attention are predominantly located in Guangxi and its neighboring provinces, as well as the economically developed eastern provinces, while the regions with lower levels of network attention are mainly found in northwestern China. It reflects that the economic development level of the source market, climate difference the distance between the source market and the destination significantly influences the variations in network attention.
