The Comic as a Reflection of the Communicant’s Culture: a Case Study of a Publication for Professional IT Community

Resorting to the comic is one of the most popular speech tools in the Internet editions for professional IT community. The comic is regarded as an integral part of the professional culture of an IT specialist. It increases the effectiveness of contact establishment, intimizes communication, lets one express his attitude, allows one to manifest his axiological position and strengthen solidarity with other members of the community. A member of the community can regard his own group as from the part of an outsider, which contributes to the additional solidarization of community participants and the building of a more adequate professional worldview.
