Low-Energy Ultrasonic Particle Enrichment Technology Based on Phononic Crystals
This study has developed a particle concentration device suitable for automated pipeline cell culture systems, characterized by its low cost, single-use, and suitability for batch processing. By thoroughly analyzing the attenuation characteristics of near-field acoustic streaming coupled with solids and the movement patterns of particles, and utilizing a specially designed tunable phononic crystal plate (PCP) to precisely control the intensity and range of the acoustic field, the device efficiently achieves particle concentration. Extensive numerical simulations and experimental validations conducted in this study have confirmed the feasibility of this method, and relevant parameters have been optimized, providing an effective solution for the high-sensitivity and rapid concentration of trace samples.
