Analysis of Evaluation Indicators for Regenerative Braking Energy Recovery in Hybrid Electric Vehicles

To evaluate the regenerative braking energy recovery performance of hybrid electric vehicles, this paper develops test conditions for two hybrid vehicles with different characteristics and establishes evaluation indicators for regenerative braking energy recovery. The indicators, namely braking energy recovery rate and output energy recovery rate, are used to assess the braking energy recovery performance of the two vehicles. The braking energy recovery rate takes into account the driving resistance encountered by the vehicle, making the evaluation of regenerative braking energy recovery more accurate. The results show that the proposed testing method and evaluation indicators can accurately reflect the regenerative braking energy recovery performance of the vehicles.
