Improved WAPI framework for electric power mobile terminals
WAPI technology effectively improves the security performance of wireless local area network through identity authentication and key negotiation mechanism, but it also brings delay problems. In the electric power system, some electric power mobile terminals are very sensitive to the delay. When these electric power mobile terminals, which use WAPI protocol, are switching from one wireless access point to another wireless access point, the long switching time will cause data failure. In order to solve this problem, a master-slave WAPI architecture is proposed. In this architecture, the Master AP is responsible for managing the key information and modifying the validity of STA’ s time window and the Slave AP is responsible for exchanging data with the STA. When a legal STA will roam, it can continue to use the current key to communicate with the Slave AP, if its time window is valid. This method saves the delay caused by key negotiation after each switch. Simulation results show that the new architecture has lower delay than the original architecture, which effectively solves the problem of high roaming switching delay of power mobile terminal and ensures the reliability of power data transmission.
