Research on Bending Resistance Model Based on Digital Twin Technology
To obtain comprehensive data characterizing the bending resistance of samples and to address the limitations of traditional experimental methods—namely, the scarcity, discreteness, and lengthy durations of data collection—this study investigates a three-dimensional (3D) bending resistance model based on digital twin technology. Specifically, our research encompasses four key components. First, we conducted measurements on a laboratory three-point bending model while simplifying certain secondary components. Second, we established a 3D model utilizing digital twin technology and tested the bending performance of the samples under various external loads. Third, we characterized the bending resistance of the samples through the digital twin model, focusing on three aspects: the amount of displacement from the indenter, the description of the bending curve, and the statistical analysis of maximum von Mises stress. Finally, we validated the model's accuracy using traditional experimental equipment. The results indicate that the accuracy of the 3D bending resistance model based on digital twin technology meets design requirements. In comparison to conventional testing methods, this model enables the acquisition of richer data, effectively addressing issues related to data scarcity, discontinuity, and prolonged testing durations.
