Hybrid Power Conversion System Using PWM Rectification and Advanced Bidirectional DC-DC Control for Efficient Load Applications

The increasing demand for efficient energy conversion and management in various applications has spurred significant advancements in power electronics. To address these needs, the proposed system employs the Advanced Hybrid Power Conversion System (AHPCS), which integrates Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) rectification and bidirectional DC-DC control. Hence, this paper proposes a power conversion topology that utilizing PWM control for efficient energy transfer, providing an efficient and consistent power conversion solutions. The system architecture consists of multiple stages, such as single-phase PWM rectifier, high-frequency inverter, LC tank, a transformer and synchronous rectifier which work together for utilizing isolated power and deliver a stable DC output to the load. Additionally, a bidirectional DC-DC converter is linked to a battery, enabling energy storage and retrieval for enhanced flexibility in power management. The simulation results performed with MATLAB Simulink indicate the system's capability of handling high power density applications and maintaining efficient energy storage integration and isolation.
