Study on the operation strategy of wind power photovoltaic and pumping and storage power stations to participate in the power market

In the context of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, wind power and photovoltaic power generation as an important part of clean energy, its large-scale grid connection and stable output pose challenges to the grid. By combining energy storage technologies such as pumped storage power stations (PSPS), the volatility and intermittency of new energy can be effectively suppressed, the acceptance capacity of the power grid can be improved, and the frequency response capacity and standby capacity of the system can be improved. Aiming at the characteristics of Wind power - photovoltaic power(WP) station and PSPS, based on the clearing price of the power market and the conditional value at risk to measure the risk preference level of the combined power station, this paper constructs a joint optimization operation model of Wind power - photovoltaic - pumped storage power station(WPPS) which improves the enthusiasm of the hydropower station to participate in the power market and the competitiveness of new energy in the power market. At the same time, the absorption capacity of new energy is improved, and the stability and adjustment flexibility of the power system are enhanced.
