Series Editorial: Mobile Communications and Networks
A s 6G starts to take the center stage of the evolution of mobile communications, advancements of the existing technology need to consider a variety of aspects in order to satisfy the necessary enhancements expected in 6G such as flexibility, scalability, efficiency, connectivity, sustainability, and openness. This issue of the Mobile Communications and Network Series pres-ents a total of twelve articles, addressing aspects such as massive inter-satellite links (ISLs) in non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), direct satellite-to-smartphone service, architecture and protocol design for 6G (including a case study of the current 5G deployments), multi-Rotor Aerial Vehicles (MRAVs), modulation and waveform, sustainability and resilience, and artificial intelligence (AI).
