Numerical study on an integrated structure for heat dissipation and protection of power batteries
Abstract In order to improve the heat dissipation and protection performance of power battery packs, this study proposes an integrated heat dissipation-protection structure based on bionic principles and advanced materials science. By establishing fluid dynamics and structural impact models, numerical methods were used to evaluate the thermal and protective performance of this innovative design. The results show that the height and thickness of the bionic leaf heat dissipation channels significantly influence thermal efficiency. When the flow channel height is increased from 2 mm to 6 mm, the pressure drop is reduced by 28.6%. Additionally, the height and thickness of these channels, as well as the height and wall thickness of the honeycomb structure, are crucial for optimizing protection performance. Increasing the honeycomb wall thickness from 0.6 mm to 1.4 mm improves the specific energy absorption by 47.3%. This study holds significant importance for the design of multifunctional dynamic battery box structures that integrate heat dissipation and protection.
