Monitoring physical modifications on restored Neolithic wooden tools
• The aim was to investigate the behaviour of freeze-dried wooden sticks from La Draga site (Banyoles, Spain) after restoration. • Three-dimensional scanning technology revealed changes in volume and morphology after a seven-year period. • Volume changes were identified in 50 % of the tools, while bending was observed in 75 % of cases. A. • The research highlights the importance of digital modelling in understanding the long-term effects of restoration.
