Repercussions of nanofluid flow and internal heat generation radiation on a spiral porous fin with variable thermal conductivity

The efficient dissipation of heat in engineering applications, such as electronic cooling and thermal energy systems, requires the creation of high-performance fin structures. Due to their larger surface area and improved convective interactions, spiral porous fins superior to other configurations in terms of thermal efficiency. However, internal heat generation radiation impacts and permeability properties have a substantial impact on their thermal performance, which needs to be investigated further. This study examines the thermal efficiency of a spiral porous fin submerged in a nanofluid containing diamond nanoparticles suspended in ethylene glycol as the base liquid. second-order differential equation regulating transfer of heat is developed. The problem is numerically solved in Maple software using the fourth-fifth order Runge-Kutta method, which yields information about temperature distribution and heat transfer rates under various thermal conditions. The numerical findings show that internal heat generation, radiation, and permeability all have a substantial effect on the fin's temperature profile. Furthermore, the study investigates the effects of temperature-dependent and temperature-independent thermal conductivity, emphasising the importance of temperature-dependent models in accurately forecasting heat transfer performance.
