Abstract

This descriptive study was conducted to ensure the relevance of Filipino vocabulary learning factors by students in Grade 10 of the Atimonan National Comprehensive High School in the Atimonan district in the Quezon Division during the 2018-2019 school year. The instrument used in the collection of data is the questionnaire created by the researcher. The percentage and mean are used in statistical analysis. The following were the results of the study. When the students' vocabulary levels were evaluated, it came out that their level was “understanding”. Students in Grade 10 have a wide vocabulary. They are capable of expressing their thoughts and communicating with their neighbors. When the impact of teaching equipment was evaluated, it was proven that they were “more affecting” students' vocabulary learning. It is easy for students to understand the topics of lessons when the teacher uses printed, authentic, and electronic teaching tools. When the impact of the use of various teacher strategies was evaluated, it was determined that it was "more affecting" the learning of the vocabulary of Filipino students. Carefully plan and think about what method is appropriate to use for a specific lesson. In fact, students' learning practices it is determined to be "affecting" vocabulary learning. Time management and balancing are important in the study to organize performing tasks. In the factor of using social media, it "affects" students' vocabulary learning so it should be used properly. Students' minds are open to the good and bad effects of social media. In the factor of a friend's influence, friends showed "affecting" vocabulary learning.
