Instacomics sem Instagram? - uma análise do atual cenário para publicação de quadrinhos em redes sociais

Since its creation, Instagram has shown itself to be an interesting place for publishing comics in a digital medium, being the author attracted by its low costs and by how easily one can reach a potential reading audience through it. However, the constant alterations in the platform’s algorithm and on its main goal, which is currently for posting videos instead of pictures, has caused a decrease in both the visualization of the comics published in it and in the authors’ satisfaction regarding the platform. Thus, it is possible to notice a search towards alternatives for publishing comics in digital media. This papers aims at analyzing, by monitoring thirty-two Brazilian artists’ profiles on Instagram, the scenario for comics publishing in this social media, as we seek to verify if it is still a valid and sought-after option for doing so, and also if it is possible to identify any kind of movement in search of new digital spaces for publishing comics.
