A Novel Resource-Efficient Magnetic Field Calculation Method and Analysis of Magnetic Load Conversion for a Multishaft Ring-Plate Magnet Gear
This article presents a fast algorithm for calculating the air-gap magnetic field and force of a multishaft ring-plate magnet gear (MRMG). The magnetic field and force are divided into various unit types on the basis of the different action positions between the axial units of the inner and outer permanent magnet rings. This classification facilitates the establishment of a mathematical model for the air-gap magnetic field and force, allowing for the determination of the magnetic load conversion relationship and loss model between the outer permanent magnet ring and the output eccentric shafts for different MRMG transmission modes. By integrating various types of magnetic field and force units in distinct ways, the model presented in this article achieves significantly improved computational efficiency compared with traditional 3-D analytical calculations. Consequently, the reduction in calculation time scales progressively with increased calculation accuracy, making the method suitable for applications that demand both rapid and accurate calculations. In addition, the MRMG exhibits power-splitting characteristics and redundancy capability, with efficiencies ranging from 60% to 93% for different modes. To optimize the operational stability and efficiency, it is essential to first minimize the load imbalance between eccentric shafts, followed by increasing the MRMG load torque and total power, and swapping only the loads between eccentric shafts does not significantly affect the efficiency.
