Some blood parameters and immune status of broiler chickens when using phytobiotic supplements in the diet

The article describes studies on the effect of introducing phytobiotic additives into the diet of Ross 308 cross broiler chickens, consisting of seeds of oilseeds and essential oil herbs - coriander, milk thistle, nigella, on the metabolism and immune status of the bird. The results showed an increase in the number of red blood cells in the blood by 7% and an increase in hemoglobin levels by 5% in chickens whose main diet was supplemented with a mixture of nigella and milk thistle, which indicates more intense redox processes in the body. Chickens that consumed a mixture of milk thistle with nigella and coriander had higher levels of protein metabolism and a decrease in the level of aminotransferase enzymes. There was an increase in cellular and humoral nonspecific protective factors in broiler chickens, in whose main diet phytobiotics were introduced, which indicates a higher level of natural immunological reactivity in poultry of the experimental groups.
