The effect of iodine-based fumigation preparation on the body of turkeys
This article reflects the effect of the domestic iodine-based antibacterial drug "Dixam Extra" in the form of powder when administered by aerosol to the body of BIG-6 cross turkeys, the results of clinical and biochemical blood tests, as well as the average daily weight gain of the bird are studied. The results of our study show that the use of the drug "Dixam Extra" in the form of an inhalation aerosol at the rate of 5 mg of iodine per 1 m3 of the room does not cause significant changes in the morphological composition of the peripheral blood in turkeys, on the contrary, the hematopoiesis function proceeds more intensively. Also, the drug does not have a negative effect on the average daily weight gain in turkeys, but on the contrary leads to an increase in the dynamics of weight gain in turkeys relative to the control.
