Ultrasound scanning in the differential diagnosis of various forms of endometritis in cows
The diagnosis of clinical forms of endometritis can be easily made only by examination, without even starting a transrectal examination of the uterus of cows. For the diagnosis of chronic endometritis, an examination of the animal and a tracrectal examination are sufficient. Whereas in the subclinical form of endometritis, there are no similar signs of the course of the disease compared with acute clinical and chronic endometritis. Therefore, the differential diagnosis of these forms of endometritis is not entirely correct. The echogenic properties of cows with subclinical endometritis are very close to those of animals at the stage of sexual cycle arousal in the phenomenom of estrus and sexual selection.
