Generating intense cylindrical vector vortex beams through the Q-plate-like magnetized plasma
Vector light, whose polarization state exhibits spatial inhomogeneity across the transverse plane, has garnered increasing attention due to its wide range of applications. However, the generation of intense vector beams has been limited by the thermal damage threshold of conventional optical devices. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that utilizes a magnetized plasma polarizer to generate high-intensity vector beams. By employing a Q-plate-like magnetized plasma, incident circularly polarized Gaussian beam is spatially decomposed into transmitted radially and reflected azimuthally polarized vector beams with vortex wavefront. This work introduces a new plasma-based method for manipulating high intensity laser pulses and paves the way towards the potential applications of intense vector light in strong-field physics.
