Association of Amygdala and Hippocampus Volumes With Histopathological Diagnosis in Patients With Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
Mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) can present with different pathologic patterns, including hippocampal sclerosis (HS) and hippocampal gliosis (HG). However, the volumetric relationships between ipsilateral and contralateral amygdala and hippocampus in unilateral TLE remain poorly understood. This study aimed to identify systematic volumetric differences between ipsilateral and contralateral amygdala and hippocampus using 3T MRI volumetry.
