O ENSINO DO HAPKIDO COMO FERRAMENTA DE DESENVOLVIMENTO EM INDIVÍDUOS COM TRANSTORNO DO ESPECTRO AUTISTA

This study explores a teaching experience of Hapkido for an individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), aiming to investigate the impacts of this practice on motor, social, and emotional development, highlighting how methodological adaptations can contribute to inclusion and improved quality of life for individuals on the autism spectrum. Using a personalized teaching program focused on three main pillars—motor coordination, social skills, and emotional regulation—continuous adaptations were made to meet the student's specific needs. Direct observations and testimonials from the mother reveal significant improvements in communication, behavior, and the practitioner's quality of life, as well as a strengthened affective bond between student and teacher. The results reinforce the importance of adapted physical practices as effective interventions for individuals with ASD, providing an inclusive and transformative approach.
