Method for improving the measurement accuracy of high-temperature DIC based on image processing

Abstract In order to solve the interference of thermal radiation and disturbance in high temperature DIC measurement, a method based on image processing is proposed to improve the measurement accuracy of high-temperature DIC. Firstly, image defogging and adaptive gamma correction are adopted to eliminate the influence of the thermal radiation background light and enhance the image contrast. Then, histogram regulation is used to deal with the influence of thermal disturbance. Speckle simulation experiments and a series of high-temperature experiments have been carried out. The results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can improve the measurement accuracy of high-temperature DIC. Under different temperatures, the accuracy is improved by 10–20% compared with the grayscale average method and the Wiener filtering method.
