Integration of Quality Function Deployment and MCDM Techniques in a Neutrosophic Environment for Supplier Selection and Evaluation
Supplier selection is one of the key decisions in supply chain management. Vague and imprecise input parameters make supplier selection decisions complicated. Neutrosophic numbers or sets, introduced in recent years, are new tools for dealing with ambiguous information and uncertainty. Neutrosophic logic is a comprehensive logic for demonstrating uncertainty in the decision-making process. In this research, the supplier evaluation criteria are identified and weighed based on the Neutrosophic version of the QFD technique. Then, three different multi-criteria decision-making methods — TOPSIS, MOORA, and ARAS — are utilized in the Neutrosophic environment to rank suppliers. The major contributions of this research are developing Neutrosophic versions of the weighting and ranking methods as well as integrating them together. To describe this integrated method, a numerical study in the electronics industry is presented.
