Effect of surface roughness and thermal jump on electro-osmosis modulated peristaltic flow of a Tri-hybrid nanofluid in an asymmetric channel

• The peristaltic transport of a tri-hybrid nanofluid through an asymmetric channel with sinusoidal roughness and thermal jump while being affected by magnetic and electro-osmotic forces is studied. • Ferrous oxide (Fe3O4), Silver (Ag) and zinc (Zn), three different nanoparticles, are taken into consideration in this work in order to carry out this investigation. • Homotopy Perturbation method is used to solve non linear partial differential equations. • The manuscript is mathematical in nature and explored in nonlinear integrable system. • The effect of various parameters is illustrated graphically. Further, the present paper has significant application in computational biology. This work examines the peristaltic flow behaviour of tri-hybrid nanofluids in an asymmetric channel with surface roughness, analysing their distinct properties and dynamics. The novelty lies in the combination of tri-hybrid nanofluids, asymmetric channel geometry, and surface roughness, enhancing the progression of nanofluid technology and its prospective applications. The carrier fluid Blood with Ferrous oxide (Fe 3 O 4 ), Silver (Ag) and zinc (Zn), three different nanoparticles, are taken into consideration. To report the effects of electro-osmosis and magnetic fields, the momentum equations are altered by adding electro-kinetic and magnetic forces. According to the computational findings, velocity diminishes near the vicinity of the channel and slowly grows in the core of the conduit as the roughness parameter increase and contrary result is observed for the Hartmann number. The research data reveals that the temperature escalates by 28 % when the thermal slip parameter is accounted for, in contrast to the scenario devoid of slip. Furthermore, the heat transfer rate exhibits a 16 % augmentation for a rough surface relative to a smooth surface on the channel wall. These results imply that both the thermal slip parameter and surface roughness considerably influence heat transfer characteristics within the channel. Augmenting the parameters of thermophoresis (Nt) and Brownian motion (Nb) improves the heat transfer rate, resulting in more effective heat transfer from the surface to the fluid.. The present research may be applied to the regulation of biological tissue temperature in different therapeutic procedures
