The Effectiveness of Educational Videos in Ear Protection Equipment Knowledge Level on Workers Exposed to Noise at PT Giant

This animal feed industry uses a production machine that makes high noise and requires control. One of the administrative controls and PPE on the risk of noise exposure is providing educational video and ear protection equipment the company provides. There are still workers who do not wear ear protection equipment because it is uncomfortable. This study aims to determine the difference in ear protection equipment knowledge levels through educational videos. The type of research is a quasi-experiment with a pre-post control group design with one of the groups intervening. Respondents were 34 production workers measured by a knowledge level questionnaire, and the results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. This study obtained test results with a p = 0.002 (p<0.05) and showed a significant knowledge level by providing educational videos. Test results p = 0.210 value (p = 0.05) means no significant knowledge level in the group without educational videos. There was a significant difference in the level of knowledge between groups with educational videos and those without educational videos (p = 0.002). In conclusion, educational videos effectively teach ear protection equipment knowledge to workers exposed to noise at PT Giant. Keywords: educational video, Ear Protection Equipment, knowledge level
