Waste Management: A Telegram — Integrated Smart Garbage Bin

Urban cities are generating tons of waste annually. Many countries face challenges with effective waste management. Waste bins are collected in regular intervals rather than when required causing collection of waste. To maintain health and environmental sustainability it is essential to prioritize effective waste management. The proposed smart waste management system that utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) devices to ensure efficient waste collection. The system will use ultrasonic sensors and force sensors to measure the garbage bin levels and also automatically open the garbage bin lid when it is approached using a servo motor. The system will also use temperature and gas sensors to detect any potentially hazardous waste using LEDs to inform users. The primary objective of this research work is to develop and implement a Telegram-integrated smart garbage bin IoT system aimed at optimizing waste management processes. The system will leverage IoT technology to monitor the fill level of garbage bins in real-time and provide timely notifications to waste management authorities and users via the Telegram messaging platform.
