Analysis of PI Speed Controller for Brushless DC Motors
Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are among the most fascinating motors due to their efficiency and torque characteristics as well as the fact that they combine the advantages of a direct current (DC) supply with lack of the downsides related to brush usage. Due to the wide speedrange of BLDC motors, speed control is a crucial issue. A multitude of elements, including beginning current, starting torque, increasing time, etc., must be taken into consideration while analyzing the performance of a speed controller. The fundamental methods for controlling speed are fuzzy PI controllers and PID controllers. Both have various levels of intricacy and potency. For BLDC motors, this paper will provide PI speed controllers. For the purpose of assessing the effectiveness of the suggested speed controls, a simulation study is carried out.
