Performance of Drives for High Power Applications of Petrochemical Industries

Petrochemical industry is playing a vital role and having a significant impact on the economy of India. These industries produce chemicals, plastics, drugs, fertilizers, pesticides, synthetic fibers etc which is used in day to day life from household to various industrial applications. To produce these products, this process incorporates various machines and drives of different rating at various stages. This paper deals with three different motors namely PPSM, PDPM and reactor motor used in petrochemical industry at various stages to produce polyester chips and their performance in terms of input current and operating temperature during operation.
