Performance Analysis of BLDC Motor Under Short Circuit Fault Condition
This paper demonstrates a mathematical model and simulation of a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor, which is renowned for its high efficiency, power output, and low maintenance requirements. These advantageous features make BLDC motors prevalent in various advanced industries. However, faults or damage can degrade the motor's performance. The study focuses on the motor's behavior in both normal operation and under short-circuits fault conditions. A detailed comparison is made of the stator current and speed characteristics across the three phases, with the objective of assessing the motor's performance under different short-circuit fault scenarios.
