Design and Analysis of Multiband MIMO Antenna for WLAN Applications in Portable Electronics

Modern communication systems are becoming more and more prevalent, which has increased demand for effective multi-band MIMO antenna designs that can support sophisticated 4G LTE, Sub-6G, and WLAN applications in portable electronics. Innovative multi-band MIMO antennas that maximize space and guarantee excellent performance across several frequency bands are designed and their performance is analyzed in this research. The currently available planar MIMO antennas and the suggested MIMO antenna are discussed. When compared to other designs of antenna MIMO antenna is very small. Furthermore, when compared to any other designs, the MIMO antenna produces an excellent bandwidth. Compared to polarization and pattern diversity, the suggested antenna's spatial MIMO diversity offers additional benefits. 5G mobile applications are better suited for MIMO antennas. Thus the antenna is tiny and has great bandwidth and low signal loss. Its separation is improved with a beam – shaping system, which helps to create a narrow beam. The MIMO antenna is small and works well for new wireless setups. In short, it is tiny, has good bandwidth, low loss, better separation, and can focus its signal. All in all, this MIMO antenna is compact and suits next-gen wireless systems. With the thickness of 1.575mm and the size for single element is 24×24mm and for array type 50×50mm the obtained return loss is -27.02 for 3.8GHz and for 2×2 rectangular array type return loss is -38.5dB for 22GHz. The suggested multi-band coupled-fed antenna is a good choice for laptop, tablet, and smartphone antennas due to the excellent antenna characteristics mentioned above.
