Effect of Hydroxyapatite Incorporated with Polyacrylamide Polymer Composite — Chemical and Thermal Analysis

The polymers identified as polyacrylamide (PAAM) are easily developed to large molecular weights and are relatively profitable. Acrylamide monomers are linked together to generate polyacrylamide composites. Drug loading has been rendered achievable by the permeable properties of this biocompatible polymer. By employing the casting method, hydroxyapatite (HA) nanoparticles in different concentrations have been doped into polyacrylamide (PAAM) to show the way the incorporation of nanoparticles influences PAAM thermal and structural properties. In this instance, hydroxyapatite was added at percentages of weight of 1 and 2, respectively, to the polymer solution. The films of PAAM and nanocomposite have been examined both before and after the HA was incorporated. The hydroxyapatite nanopowder improved the polymer's compressive strength by 57%. The different parts have generated new bonding structures as the outcome of the process of mixing. As the concentration of HA nanoparticles expands, the FTIR measurement demonstrates certain changes in the chemical structure. The thermogravimetric (TG) curves have been employed to calculate the weight loss. Once the concentration of HA nanoparticles expands, the thermal data periodically decreases. A thermogravimetric (TG) study demonstrated that the addition of nanoparticles improved the heat stability of nanocomposite films.
