Location-Based Reminder and Emergency Alert System for Landslides
This project combines a GPS, GSM, Arduino, and soil moisture sensor in the development of a dual-purpose system for remainder and emergency alerts for landslide. In landslide-prone areas or places with high agriculture, real-time monitoring of soil moisture is critical for crop health and safe environment. The system is used with GPS on location-based alerts and reminders while using GSM in time-to-time communication of updates, like warnings for landslide. Arduino aggregates GPS data and soil moisture for continuous monitoring. This inexpensive solution enhances safety and awareness in rural areas, leading to increased agricultural productivity and disaster preparedness. It demonstrates the fruits of incorporating technology in environmental monitoring and community resilience.
