Band Notch Compact for the Two-Port MIMO Antenna for the UWB Applications
Band-notch a two-port Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna for Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) applications is shown in the proposed study. The antenna is constructed with two identical radiators and measures <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$20\ \times 44.1\ \times 1.6mm3$</tex> overall on a FR4 substrate. A 50-microstrip line feeds the specified antenna. To provide strong isolation between the MIMO antenna elements, the proposed antenna incorporates extended F-shaped stubs into the shared ground plane. The ground plane is modified to incorporate extended F-shaped stubs, which result in multiple resonance and strong isolation between the radiating parts. In the UWB spectrum, the antenna provides good impedance matching. From 3.1 to 10.6 GHz, the suggested antenna has a lower isolation of less than -25 dB and an envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) of less than 0.015. Antenna characteristics are assessed over time.
