Magnetic Integrated Coupler Structure with Magnetic Field Complementation for AGV High Anti-Lateral Misalignment Tolerance
In the dynamic wireless power technology (DWPT) of ground track-type automated guided vehicle (AGV), it is crucial to maintain the stable output of system power when the vehicle body is laterally misalignment. This paper proposes a magnetic field complementary coupler (MFCC) design with high misalignment tolerance, which consists of a rectangular coil and a solenoid coil vertically wound on both sides. The former cannot effectively capture the vertical magnetic flux when it is lateral misalignment, resulting in a reduction in the total magnetic flux, while the latter can effectively capture the horizontal magnetic flux. By equivalently synthesizing the received horizontal and vertical magnetic fluxes, the change of the total magnetic flux during misalignment can be effectively suppressed, thereby ensuring the stability of the output voltage. In order to more effectively suppress the fluctuation of mutual inductance, finite element software is used to model and simulate the MFCC, and the misalignment range is effectively increased by optimizing the number of turns of the solenoid coils and the distance between them. Finally, by building a circuit model to verify, within the 100% lateral misalignment range of the receiver size, the total output voltage fluctuation can be kept within 17%.
