Dynamic Virtual Resistive Power Decoupling Control Strategy for Virtual Synchronous Generators
A new energy-based power system must be constructed in accordance with the “dual-carbon” policy. The stability of the power grid will be impacted by the reduction of overall inertia and damping caused by connecting a high number of power electronic devices to the system. Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) simulate the rotor of a traditional synchronous generator, providing inertia and damping assistance; nevertheless, inverter power coupling limits power transfer capability. In this study, a dynamic virtual resistance (DVR) decoupling method is proposed that achieves power decoupling by dynamically modifying the virtual resistance. The DVR technology can provide near-perfect power decoupling, according to simulation simulations.
