Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Full Speed Range Position Sensorless Starting Control
Currently, the research related to more electric aircraft is developing rapidly. More electric aircraft with electric drive technology use electric energy to gradually replace secondary energy sources such as liquid energy and gas energy, which reduces the mechanical loss, fuel consumption and maintenance cost caused by the traditional power system. Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) have the advantages of simple structure, high reliability and high efficiency, and therefore have been widely used in more electric aircraft. In order to solve the problem of increased system volume and weight and decreased utilisation caused by position sensors, this paper proposes a position sensorless starting control strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motors, which uses an I/F-based control method in the zero and low speed regions, a sliding mode observer-based backpotential estimation method in the medium and high speed regions, and finally a full-speed domain composite control strategy based on a weighting function. The simulation model was constructed in MATLAB simulink platform and relevant verification was carried out, the simulation basically achieved the expected effect, and the final speed was stabilised near the specified speed.
