Diagnóstico de intussuscepção intestinal em cães pela ultrassonografia abdominal
In veterinary medicine, intestinal intussusception is considered an emergency and may lead to death if not properly treated. Diagnosis is established by anamnesis, physical examinations, and imaging tests, with abdominal ultrasound considered the gold standard for identifying this condition. The treatment is exclusively surgical, in which the choice of technique depends on the degree and viability of injury in the intestine. This study aims to clarify the importance of a rapid and accurate diagnosis for the successful resolution of intussusception in dogs.
