Flexural performance of reinforced concrete slabs strengthened with single/combined grid
Abstract Textile reinforced mortars is a cementitious composite material consisting of high‐strength fiber textile grid and cementitious mortar. In order to improve the flexural performance of reinforced concrete (RC) slabs and solve the problems of brittle fracture and poor deformation performance of carbon fiber textile grid, this study conducted an analysis of the flexural performance of RC slabs strengthened with carbon textile grid, carbon textile–stainless steel wire hybrid grid, and a combination of carbon textile grid and carbon textile–stainless steel wire hybrid grid, and 3‐point bending tests were conducted on 15 RC slabs strengthened with fiber textile grid. The test results showed that carbon textile grid significantly improved the peak load; carbon textile–stainless steel wire hybrid grid significantly improved the deformation capacity; the combination of carbon textile grid and carbon textile–stainless steel wire hybrid grid reinforcement technology overcame the shortcomings of single‐type textile grid while utilizing the high tensile strength of carbon textile grid and the deformation capacity and high energy consumption capacity of carbon textile–stainless steel wire hybrid grid. Based on the energy method, the ductility of strengthening slabs was analyzed. Finally, the calculation equation for the flexural carrying capacity of RC slabs strengthened with fiber textile grid was proposed, and the calculation results were in good agreement with the test.
