World experience in the development of oncological care.
Due to the high incidence and mortality of cancer-related diseases worldwide, measures have been taken in the United States, Europe and China to study this problem in detail. Many countries around the world have developed and implemented new methods of diagnosis and treatment, opened new centers for cancer care, trying to make medical care more accessible and effective for the population. A clinical oncological registry has been created, which for decades has been storing all information about newly identified cases of cancer, methods of diagnosis, treatment, follow-up to the outcome, and death of the patient. Scientific research was conducted on the basis of the register data, which in the future made it possible to improve the methods of diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms. Due to the projected increase in cancer incidence, the World Health Organization has decided to develop principles for large-scale population and mortality screening programs. The screening model has been implemented both in the USA and in some European countries. The purpose of the screenings was to identify oncological diseases in the early stages of development.
