Evolving Perspectives in Nuclear Atypia Scoring: From Traditional Methods to Modern Insights
Early breast cancer detection greatly improves treatment success and survival rates, allowing for less invasive treatments and better quality of life. Screening and diagnostic methods are essential for identifying cancer in its early stages, leading to timely interventions. Nuclear atypia scoring is crucial for diagnosis and survival, helping detect malignant cell changes and guide treatment. This review evaluates recent advancements, including deep learning techniques, and addresses the advancement and challenges in nuclear atypia assessment. It explores traditional methods, cutting-edge technologies, inter-observer variability, and data integration, emphasizing the evolving role of accurate scoring in enhancing patient care and understanding breast cancer progression.
