Channel Estimation in V2V Communication
Vehicle to Everything Communication using mm Wave, Multiple Input Multiple Output [MIMO] Channel estimation is very difficult. In MIMO, channel knowledge is very much essential for correct Transmitter/Receiver combining. There are two types of channel estimation methods: Parametric and Non parametric Channel estimation methods. Parametric method of channel estimation is preferred in practical cases but it provides a limited performance of specific channel models. So to give more performance Algebraic Low Rank [LR] method is used. While single path fading amplitudes are expected to fluctuate in accordance with Doppler Spectrum, LR operates on numerous pilot sequences transmitted by single user equipment gathered by a fixed base station, where each pilot transmission shares the same DoAs, DoDs, and delays. In order to filter new pilot signals and obtain an estimate of the LR Channel, the ensemble of received pilot sequences is utilized to compute the spatial and temporal modes of the MIMO channel. The stationarity of space-time channel Eigen modes is the only need for LR.
