Review on Need of Read Time DSS for Effective Pest and Disease Management
Farmers today face persistent challenges in effectively managing pests and diseases, often relying on reactive measures that lead to considerable crop damage and loss. Although technological advancements, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and predictive analytics, offer transformative potential for agriculture, many farmers still lack access to cost-effective, scalable solutions that deliver real-time insights. This study investigates the need for an integrated, real-time Decision Support System (DSS) that combines IoT devices with predictive analytics to facilitate proactive crop management. By leveraging IoT sensors to monitor environmental factors like weather and soil moisture, alongside machine learning algorithms for forecasting pest and disease outbreaks, this system aims to equip farmers with the tools to take preemptive action. The proposed solution emphasizes scalability and affordability, designed to empower farmers with actionable insights that enhance crop protectionand boost productivity.
