Tilt Integral Derivative Frequency Controller for Isolated Microgrid
The complex nature of microgrid systems involving components such as solar, wind-turbine, fuel cell, and energy storage systems, has posed a significant problem for load-frequency control (LFC). This digest article proposes a tilt integral derivative (TIDμ) controller with a single tuneable parameter for enhanced resiliency of an isolated microgrid. The sole tuning parameter of TIDμ controller is intended to accomplish a good trade-off between performance and resilience. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is assessed in the occurrence of parametric uncertainties and random load disturbance. Based on these simulation results, it is clear that the proposed controller has better resilience compared to the state of the art.
