Optimized Super Twisting Sliding Mode Based Direct Torque Control for BLDC Motor
This work explores a refined Direct Torque Control (DTC) using super twisting sliding mode (STSM) controllers to drive BLDC motors under various operating conditions. The proposed control model includes the regulation of dc-link current to achieve precise speed and torque responses despite changes in the power supply. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology is assessed along with established techniques. Additionally, the design of the STSM controller is incorporated, and a PSO methodology is developed to update its parameters. Implementation of the proposed methodology is carried out using OPAL-RT modules to demonstrate diverse outcomes of the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) process.
